Analytical reporting

Two alternative solutions are available for INSIS Analytical reporting:

• INSIS BI
• InsFocus

The BI solutions for INSIS are end-to-end solutions that allow the insurance companies using INSIS to understand their business better and to make the right decisions on time. This is a standard solution for INSIS and it is designed to be easily customizable and scalable to suite the needs of the individual customer. This decreases the implementation time, speeds up the ROI process and increases functionality by allowing the analysis of the business to start where mostly needed. It is also an open system, which allows other systems, vital to the insurance business such as Financial systems, to be connected to it.

The BI System comprises of two main components – Data Warehouse build on Oracle Data Base and Business Objects Edge as the BI component. The ETL process is done with Business Objects Data Integrator. The BI end user interface is Web based which enables users to obtain the information anywhere and at any time. The Data Warehouse consists of Data Marts for each specific business area of the Insurance Industry and maps according to business rules to the data structures of INSIS: Underwriting, Marketing, Reinsurance, Claims, Accounting and Finance. The reports are developed and used to analyze business events on a daily basis, track historic changes, monitor trends and forecast future earnings. It enables the users in every department of the organization to answer specific questions.
