INSIS Support Packages


The implementation of INSIS in IC results in a system that consists of two major components:
  1. INSIS standard software. This is the core system functionality that is available unchanged for all INSIS customers. This is what the IC pays license fees for.
  2. INSIS customization. The customization consists of:
    • INSIS configuration. IC specific configuration data that defines the products, the settlement rules, the accounting setup, reinsurance, commissions, procedures, etc. that is specially configured to support the business of this specific customer (i.e. IC).
    • Additionally developed software. These are IC-specific (a.k.a. user-exit) programs and modules that are additions, changes, or replacements of standard INSIS functions that provide IC-specific processing in order to match the IC requirements. This software is not available in the standard INSIS modules. This is what the IC pays implementation costs for.

Fadata offers three levels of system support depending on which of the components are subject of support and what services are provided:
  1. INSIS Standard support package. This is support that is related to the standard software only and does not concern any IC-specific component. The fee for this support is calculated as percentage on the license fees. See section INSIS Standard Support Package for the scope of the support.
  2. INSIS Custom support package. This is support that is related to the customized part of the system – system configurations and IC-specific modules. The fee for this support depends on the complexity of the implementation (number and complexity of the products and procedures, number and complexity of the specially developed modules) and therefore this fee is percentage of the implementation cost. See section INSIS Custom support package for the scope of the support.
  3. INSIS Extended maintenance package. This support includes new developments and system modifications for both IC configuration and the IC-specific software. The fees for this support depend on the requested level of support. See section INSIS Extended maintenance package for the services included.

Important:

  1. The maintenance contract term for all types of support is 12 months. IC can cancel the contract before the expiration with one month written notice.
  2. INSIS Custom Support Package is only available if INSIS Standard Support is contracted
  3. INSIS Extended Maintenance Package is only available if INSIS Custom Support is contracted.
